National Scientific Workshop on Climate Change
This provided a platform for researchers and policymakers to exchange insights on climate impacts.

In April 2025, the National Scientific Conference on Climate Change, organised by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) in Huế, provided a platform for researchers and policymakers to exchange insights on climate impacts. At the conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kinh, Vice Chair of the Vietnam Medical Association, Co-I of the Wellcome project, presented an overview of the research, highlighting the project’s objectives, methodology, and the active involvement of research partners.
Key Message: Climate change poses a direct threat to the health and livelihoods of informal outdoor workers in urban Vietnam, a group that is largely absent from current policy discussions. Generating robust scientific evidence on the vulnerability of this population is critical for the development of equitable and effective adaptation policies.
