Survey Practice Forum #4

The fourth Survey Practice Forum from the Survey Futures team brings together survey academics and organisations to discuss future methods of data collection. This event will focus on Challenges and Opportunities for Social Survey Data Collection in Scotland. The programme will include contributions from the Scottish Centre for Social Research (ScotCen), Ipsos and Verian.

This session will address current issues in survey data collection, but from different perspectives, including:

• A panel of survey agencies, including contributions from ScotCen, Ipsos and Verian
• A panel of survey commissioners, including survey leads from the Scottish Government;

At this event, we will also explore the survey user perspective: what does a user look for in a survey dataset, including a presentation of the findings and recommendations from a recent study into mixed mode survey designs to inform the Scottish Government's long-term survey strategy.
