Our work

Our counter extremism research is evidence-based exploration of the drivers and impacts of counter extremism behaviour and real-world impact designed to inform government and police at a force level and help shape UK security policy.

Kingdoms of Darkness

An evidence-based exploration of the relationship between online conspiracy theories and political violence.

Our current work is an evidence-based exploration of the relationship between online conspiracy theories and political violence. This research aims specifically to explore the link between online right-wing conspiracy narratives and offline political violence, focusing on identifying the profile markers of individuals and high-risk groups who transition from virtual extremist engagement to real-world violent action.

By understanding these dynamics, this research will help shape optimised counter-extremism measures and UK security policy, disrupting the real-world impacts of harmful online content in a UK setting.
