Line Knudsen
Line is a Research Director in the Longitudinal Surveys team. She has over 10 years' experience in social research, including of managing and directing large, complex quantitative studies with children, young people and their families.
Line currently leads the SEND Futures Discovery Phase study which examines the views and experiences of young people with SEND and their parents and provides methodological insights to inform the design and implementation of a future longitudinal survey of children and young people with SEND in England. Recently, Line also led the piloting and development phase for the initial wave of the the Growing Up in the 2020s study, a new DfE-funded cohort study of secondary school children in England.
Line's experience at NatCen also includes several years working on and being the day-to-day lead on the Growing Up in Scotland study, as well as data analysis and dissemination on a range of studies.
