NatCen appoints new Director of Analysis
Lovisa brings a wealth of experience to the role and to NatCen. She was previously the lead advisor on business and human rights for ActionAid International, delivered high-profile analysis of the IMF’s track-record on gender and carried out statistical modelling of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute’s (RNLI’s) UK-wide rescue operations. More recently Lovisa was Head of Analysis at Engage Britain where she set up the analytical function focused on public opinion research, deliberation and co-design.
Martina Vojtkova, Director of the Policy Research Centre at NatCen, says: “I am thrilled that Lovisa joins us to head up our Analysis team. This team specialises in secondary analysis of survey and administrative data, collected by NatCen and available from external data sources (such as the UK Data Archive). I’m excited to be working with Lovisa on further developing our data-driven insights offer and strengthening our reputation and expertise of the advanced analysis techniques we employ for projects across a range of policy areas.”
Commenting on her appointment, Lovisa Moller adds: “I’m passionate about ensuring that recent breakthroughs in data science are used to make lives better. NatCen is uniquely well-placed to play an important role in this. I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Britain’s largest independent social research organisation. There are significant opportunities to develop data-driven insights from the vast amounts of data that NatCen and our partners hold. I look forward to working with our clients, partners and my new colleagues on analysis that makes a real difference to people’s lives.”
