Suzanne Hill

Senior Researcher

Suzanne Hill is a Senior Researcher in the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen)’s Health and Biomedical Surveys team. She currently works on the Health Survey for England (HSE) and the National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS), leading on day-to-day management of interviewer and nurse fieldwork, delivering fieldworker briefings and monitoring progress. She also works on the HFSS Foods in Supermarkets project, and is part of the editorial team for the Health Survey for England annual reports.

Prior to working as Senior Researcher, Suzanne was in the Data Management team as a Senior Data Manager (2019-2021) and Data Manager (2016-2019), where she worked on projects across research teams at NatCen. In this role, she led the data management on several surveys, including the National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS), the National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles (Natsal), and the Mental Health of Children and Young People 2017 follow up studies (MHCYP).

Suzanne has extensive knowledge of data management and survey research methodologies, and has experience of quality assurance and disclosure assessment procedures. She completed her PhD at Brunel University London in 2020, and has excellent analysis skills including in complex methods.
