Katherine specialises in theory-based impact evaluation and is experienced in creating participatory and multidisciplinary research design. Previously Katherine has worked for membership organisations such as Scottish Care and The Health and Social Care Alliance, funders such as The Corra Foundation, and in academia at The University of Strathclyde. In these roles Katherine has led and collaborated on social research with seldom heard communities, intervention and prevention services, for local and central government programmes and nationwide funded partnership initiatives. 

Katherine’s interest and expertise areas lie in health and social care, seldom heard local and practice communities, and human rights. She holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the fields of Sociology and Psychology, and Gender Studies respectively. Katherine’s current focus is in developing and implementing Theory Based Evaluation designs namely for complex policy and programme evaluation.
