Joanne McLean

Joanne joined the Scotcen research team in 2017. She is an experienced researcher with two decades of creating and using research-based knowledge to support health and social care practice and policy development in the voluntary and statutory sectors. Over this time she has developed and led a wide range of complex national and local programme evaluations, systematic reviews, primary research, large scale surveys including the census and pilot development programmes for local providers.
Joanne has particular subject knowledge in the fields of health and social care, mental health, suicide and self-harm, children and adolescents and research utilisation in national public policy making. Joanne is also a Trustee of Evaluation Support Scotland.
