Jessica Shields
Jessica is a highly experienced mixed methods researcher with nearly 10 years of experience in working in a diverse range of third sector research and evaluation roles.
She initially joined ScotCen as a Researcher and then Senior Researcher in 2018, and rejoined ScotCen as a Research Director in 2023. Her current work includes research on the use of disposable vapes and evaluations of mental health and suicide prevention interventions. She has also worked on high profile research projects including the Behaviour in Scottish Schools Research and the evaluation of Distress Brief Intervention for the Scottish Government, and studies on young people’s attitudes to junk food and health.
