Rob is a Research Director in the Centre for Crime, Justice and Security at the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen). Rob is the counter-extremism lead at NatCen with a track record of delivering complex research projects in the counterterrorism and profiling spaces.
Formerly Executive Director of Research at Data Clan and Deputy Chief Executive of HACT, Rob has a background in politics and behavioural psychology and is the author of "What goes on before the bomb goes off? His most recent work includes a multi-phase control simulation testing the effect of group cohesion on propensity to political violence.
At NatCen, Rob is developing research exploring the links between online far-right conspiracy content and offline real-world violence. Rob is collaborating with NatCen International on an exciting new assignment looking to disrupt the online origins of human trafficking.
