Charlotte joined NatCen in December 2023 as a Researcher for NatCen's Centre for Children and Families.  Presently, she is involved in a range of projects, including the National Evaluation for A Better Start, the Inspiration Programme facilitated by the UK Space Agency, and the Study of Early Education and Development (SEED) for the Department of Education.

During her previous studies at the University of Edinburgh, Charlotte specialised in gender where her dissertation focused on gender roles within the nightlife economy. Her research aimed to enhance comprehension of gender socialisation and safety in leisure spaces. Her academic and current interests are circulated around gender roles, equality and developmental outcomes for children, which she continues to explore in her ongoing work.
