Patrick Olajide

Patrick is a Senior Researcher in the Crime, Justice and Security team at the National Centre for Social Research. He is an experienced researcher, facilitator and published author with a background in youth work, social justice advocacy and safeguarding.  

Patrick previously worked as a Senior Analyst within the Insights team at Crest Advisory, where he specialised in public perceptions and engagement; leading research on behalf of public inquiries, statutory authorities and central government to understand the views and experiences of vulnerable and marginalised groups. At Crest, Patrick produced research on the relationship between technology and serious violence, black views of policing, crime and the use of stop and search powers and contributed to analysis into domestic abuse perpetrators for West Midlands Police and the Home Office.  

Since joining NatCen, he has been leading research into the nature and role of online misinformation in offline violence.
