Nandita Upadhyay
Nandita is a Senior Researcher at NatCen’s Centre for Evaluation with a background in designing and implementing evaluations. She has experience in conducting quasi-experimental designs, randomized control trials, and theory-based evaluations in diverse policy areas such as crime and justice, energy and sustainability, housing, education, and health.
Before joining NatCen, Nandita worked at Verian UK (formerly known as Kantar Public), where she conducted various large-scale evaluations for clients like the Home Office, DLUHC, DESNEZ, DCMS, etc. In addition to her UK experience, she has also conducted impact and cost evaluations in countries like India and Kenya, collaborating with clients such as the World Bank, USAID, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). In India, her work included evaluating the impact of community policing and police officials' training on police legitimacy, particularly focusing on women and girls, and delving into the outcomes related to Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) crimes.
