Alina Carabat is the Head of the Statistics Team at the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen), specialising in survey methodology, sampling, and weighting. She plays a key role in designing robust statistical approaches for complex surveys, ensuring high-quality, reliable data. Alina is passionate about improving processes, fostering collaboration, and developing innovative solutions to methodological challenges. With a strong focus on leadership and team development, she is committed to driving excellence in social research.
Alina has extensive experience in high-volume data manipulation and reporting using national statistics. Prior to joining NatCen, she worked on social research projects across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies for public and academic sector clients. Her previous roles include positions at the Money and Pensions Service, Colchester Borough Council, and the University of Essex.
