Abbi Rennick
Abbi is a Senior Researcher based in our Centre for Children and Families. Her research interests revolves around bettering outcomes for children and young people, particularly in the area of mental health. As a mixed methods researcher, she has expertise in conducting and analysing interviews and focus groups involving young people, parents/carers and practitioners, in addition to creating and analysing surveys. She has worked across policy areas, including mental healthcare, education, and youth violence. Abbi’s research experience is enriched by her background of working clinically within the NHS mental health system.
Her current NatCen projects include being the day-to-day project manager of two evaluations of school-based interventions; Mastering Mathematics, a training programme for teachers of post-16 GCSE maths resit students, and Let’s Read Fluently!, a literacy intervention with early grade pupils in Jordan. She also provides day-to-day project management on the National Evaluation of A Better Start, a National Lottery Community Fund project.
