Information for parents/carers

What does taking part involve?

A teacher will teach three lessons across three consecutive weeks to two classes in Year 8 and 9 or S2 and S3 at your child’s school. The lessons will be delivered in the Spring Term 2020.

All students receiving Send me a pic? will be asked to complete a questionnaire before and after the programme. Each questionnaire will take fifteen minutes to complete. The questionnaires will be distributed, collected and processed by NatCen and the results will only be accessible to the researchers at NatCen working on the project.

Researchers from NatCen will also speak with some of the students in the class and may visit your child’s school to observe the Send me a pic? lessons. We will contact you separately to let you know if your child will be involved in this.

Participation in the research activities is completely voluntary. If you wish your child to opt out of the pilot evaluation, please complete the slip on the information letter you have been given or contact your child’s school.
