Family Food Experience study - London
The Family Food Experience study is looking at child and family eating behaviours, availability of different foods and food preferences. The information collected will help Local Authorities, policy makers and charities to improve our health.
What is the purpose of this study?
The Family Food Experience study is part of a programme of research aiming to explore how local authorities in London can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of interventions to address inequality in childhood obesity.
Its aim is to find out more about family food environments, children’s eating habits and explore the impact of COVID-19 on families with primary school aged children.
Who is funding this?
City, University of London has asked NatCen Social Research to carry out this study, with funding from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
Why should I take part?
You don’t have to take part but with your help we can get a truer picture of the eating habits and health status of children living in London. You will help strengthen our understanding of children’s diet and nutrition and the reasons behind differences in what we eat.
