  • Why have I been chosen?

You have been selected because you recently had a telephone assessment for either your PIP, UC or ESA benefit claim. We are interested in understanding your experiences of having the assessment completed over the telephone, your feelings about how the assessment was conducted and any problems you experienced.

  • Why take part?

Helping Hands How your participation will make a difference

This study will provide feedback to the Department for Work and Pensions about how the telephone assessments for PIP or WCA are currently working and what could be improved.

This is your chance to confidentially and anonymously share your thoughts and experiences with the government and help to shape future policy decisions.

Tickbox A little time to make a big difference

The interview will take about twenty minutes, so it doesn’t take long to have your say. All the questions are voluntary and there are no right or wrong answers. We just want to hear what you think.

  • What's involved?

One of our telephone interviewers might contact you in July 2020 to arrange an interview at a time convenient to you. If you agree to take part, they will conduct a short 20-minute interview with you over the phone.

Participation is completely voluntary, you can stop the interview at any time and if there any questions you don’t want to answer you can skip over these.

If you prefer not to be called, please contact us by telephone on 0800 652 4568 or by email at PIPsurvey@natcen.ac.uk and we will not contact you for this research.
