Julia Ruddick-Trentmann

Julia is a Researcher in the Centre for Children and Families. She is a mixed-method researcher interested in early years, educational inequality, and school-based evaluation and research.

Julia has contributed to a wide range of research projects in the Centre for Children and Families, including large mixed-mode surveys, mixed-methods evaluations at both pilot and randomised control trial (RCT) scale, desk-based evidence reviews and qualitative research. She currently works on The Student Income and Expenditure Survey (SIES), a mixed-mode survey of over 6,000 students in higher and further education across England and Wales (DfE and Welsh Government). Julia also works on the efficacy trial of Hanen Learning Language and Loving It, a language training programme for early years professionals, funded by the EEF, and Let’s Read Fluently!, an evaluation of a Jordan-based primary school language intervention (EEF Global Trials Fund).
