The study started in 2008 when we interviewed 3,400 tax credits customers throughout the UK.
In 2009 we returned to the same people and contacted about a thousand additional families who received Child Benefit.
Between 2010 and 2012 we spoke to many of these people again to see how their experiences had changed. In 2013, we interviewed 987 households currently in receipt of tax credits.
