Baby Express Trial
Published: June 2016
We were awarded a grant in 2014 to evaluate Baby Express, a monthly newsletter offering first-time parents information and advice on child development and parent-child relationships timed to the age of their baby.
This evaluation was going to look at the impact this had on parent and child outcomes.
The trial closed in September 2015 due to insurmountable barriers to delivery.
We have produced a Project Insight document that shares our reflections and learning from the partnership project and the practical implications of such a project.
By sharing these experiences we hope to support and offer guidance to others considering, undertaking or commissioning their own evaluation projects.
Background to the evaluation
This Early Intervention Foundation Partnership between NatCen Social Research and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) was funded by the ESRC.
