Communities, Work and Income

Alison joined NatCen in 2019  as a researcher in the Communities, Work and Income team, after completing an MSc in Social Policy Research at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and working as a Research Assistant for LSE’s Centre for the Analysis of Social Exclusion. Alison’s previous research includes qualitative studies exploring the experiences of disabled performing artists, disabled university students, Church of England priests, and Londoners on low incomes. Before re-training as a social researcher she worked in the charity sector as a fundraising and communications specialist, and also as a professional musician.
