Understanding people’s experiences of serious incidents at sea and on the coast
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is a registered charity that saves lives at sea. The RNLI has asked NatCen to conduct research to understand people’s experiences of serious incidents at sea and on the coast. The research will involve speaking to people who have experienced an incident themselves and those who have seen an incident where somebody has lost their life.
The research is very important as the findings will help to develop the RNLI’s prevention strategies and campaigns that help to keep people safe at sea and on the coast.
