Evaluation of the Alcohol Abstinence Monitoring Requirement (AAMR): information page for tag wearers

Evaluation of the Alcohol Abstinence Monitoring Requirement (AAMR): information page for tag wearers

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for North Yorkshire has asked NatCen to conduct this study to find out about people’s experiences of wearing an alcohol monitoring tag across Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire and any recommendations for improvement. We’re also talking to staff involved in delivering the AAMR for example within the courts, probation and the police.

The Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire AAMR pilot uses continuous alcohol monitoring tags combined with offender management interventions as part of a community or suspended sentence order. NatCen has been commissioned by the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for North Yorkshire to carry out this study on their behalf. NatCen is an independent research organisation and charity. We are not a part of any government organisation, and are not involved in delivering the AAMR.
