We'd like to speak to witnesses who gave evidence in a criminal trial in 2014 and 2015. We want to understand what's ok about being a witness and what needs to change. We have been asked to do this by the Ministry of Justice – a part of the government which supports the justice system in England and Wales.
Whether you've been asked to take part or someone you care for has, find out what happens next and what questions will be asked.
You can choose when and where to have the interview, how long it goes on for and what questions you answer.

We will use what we're told by everyone who takes part in the study to write a completely anonymous report.
This will be used by the Ministry of Justice to improve things for witnesses.

It's your choice.
If you do take part, what you tell us can help improve things for other witnesses.
This is your chance to let the Ministry of Justice know how they could improve things for future witnesses.
As a thank you for taking part, we will give you a £20 high street voucher.
We’re Britain’s largest independent social research charity, independent of any government organisation. The work we do helps to improve the services that people use.
If you have any questions about the research you can speak to Caroline Paskell, a member of the research team, on 020 7549 8534 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
