Research Data Manager
Salary: £22k - £31k (Depending on skills & experience)

We are recruiting a Research Data Manager to join the Surveys, Data and Analysis department. This is an important role working on our high profile, flagship surveys such as the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing, English Housing Survey, Taking Part and the Scottish Health Survey.
Many of these studies provide National or Official Statistics and incorporate the collection of data through multiple instruments including questionnaires, diaries, biomedical measurements and surveyor visits.
Working alongside researchers and other specialists you will be responsible for managing survey data throughout the project lifecycle. Tasks will range from checking early data and validating data from different sources to producing final datasets and documentation for a range of users.
You should have good communication skills as you will often be the contact person for data related queries and requests from members of our research teams, our project collaborators, customers and external data users. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail are essential. You should have some experience of managing data and/or using statistical software (SPSS or STATA).
