Nurse Centre Manager

Location: Brentwood - with travel required, to NatCen offices in London & Edinburgh and other regional locations within England, Scotland or Wales.

Salary: £32k - £36k (Depending on skills & experience)

We are looking to recruit a Nurse Centre Manager to join our NatCen Nurse Centre of Excellence team, working to support the Head of the Nurse Centre in delivering quality nurse and biomedical fieldwork, along with driving forward high levels of performance across the Nurse and biomedical data collection field force.

About the role

Candidates will be highly motivated to manage the Nurse Centre on a day to day basis. The role reports to the Head of the Nurse Centre and supports the wider Nurse Centre office based and remote office team, in delivering nurse/biomedical data collection to NatCen’s quality standards and measurement targets.

The Nurse Centre Manager will need to work effectively and proactively with other NatCen departments and personnel to ensure nurse/biomedical data collection activity is risk assessed and appropriately resourced for fieldwork demands.

The successful candidate will have proven management, recruitment and training skills to help manage and develop the provision of Nurse/biomedical fieldwork capacity. They will also demonstrate a high level of analytical skills, interpreting information from a wide range of sources, turning the insights generated into actions that drive high levels of biomedical data collection quality and achievement.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates that have experience of working within biomedical measurement protocols and procedures, as used in clinical and health research, including biomedical sample taking (e.g. venepuncture).

A good knowledge and understanding of survey research processes including those involving field based biomedical data collection, alongside the professional implications and best practice principles is also essential.
