Katja Gravenhorst is a reseacher in the Health team. She is specialised in qualitative research and has extensive experience of a wide range of research methods, including ethnography, in-depth interviews, focus groups, participatory and action research methods. Katja has a particular interest in health inequalities and in developing and evaluating interventions to address these.
Prior to joining NatCen she was a Research Associate at University of Liverpool, where she worked on a range of multidisciplinary health research projects, including a programme of research to improve access to mental health services for underserved groups in primary care, and most recently on a European participatory implementation project aiming to improve communication between migrant patients and their GPs.
Katja holds a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen.
