Jane Lakey joined the Social Attitudes team in August 2016.
She is an experienced quantitative and qualitative researcher, specialising in evaluation.
Jane has led and contributed to numerous research studies, focusing on employment policy, aspects of labour market disadvantage and equalities issues. Completed projects include studies of the economic effects of disability, the impact of unemployment on health, ethnic diversity in housing, labour market activity of older people, and labour market experiences of multiply disadvantaged young people.
She is currently working on the impact evaluation of Democratic Therapeutic Communities in Prisons (NOMS/NHS England).
Before joining NatCen, Jane was a principal research fellow at the Policy Studies Institute. She has an MSc in Social Research Methods from Surrey University.
