Fatima joined the Health team at NatCen Social Research in January 2013.
Fatima has 17 years experience of applied social research in the academic, charitable and not-for-profit sectors.
Specialising in qualitative methodologies and the design and delivery of mixed-method formative evaluations, her research has also focused on disadvantaged communities and minority ethnic families.
She has conducted research in a range of policy areas including food and nutrition; welfare-to work; homelessness and work, crime, learning and skills and social care and service delivery.
In a previous research role at the Policy Studies Institute (2009-2012), she taught qualitative research methods on the Market Research Society accredited MSc in Applied Market and Social Research course at the University of Westminster.
Fatima completed her PhD at the University of Toronto, Canada in 1997.
